Large-scale Russian Strikes Eliminate Power In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while residents in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to water supplies, as stated by municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a minor was fatally injured in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, as reported by area administrators.

Russian forces has increased assaults on energy facilities over the past few days, while officials has demanded "real steps" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in supplying protection systems and enforcing penalties," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to restore power.

A wave of strikes struck power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the assaults on the city have been taken to hospital, per statements from municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the urban area came under intense attacks overnight. A minor lost their life and several individuals were hurt.

The strikes come after periods of air raids in the region, portions of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to identify.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and authorities were bracing for additional strikes.
